At the Cubs Convention Opening Ceremony, team chairman Tom Ricketts shares that slugger Sammy Sosa and former first baseman Derrek Lee will be inducted into the team's Hall of Fame at a ceremony to take place at Wrigley Field during the season. Slammin' Sammy, a seven-time All-Star, the franchise leader with 545 homers, and D-Lee, a Gold Glover, who spent seven years with Chicago, playing a key role in the club's first-place finishes in 2007 and 2008.

The confident Dominican shortstop's total far surpasses fellow countryman Josuar De Jesus Gonzalez (#2 prospect), also 17, who signed with the Giants today for $2,997,500.
